14th Jan., Pune. It was indeed a very auspicious occasion at Sri Balaji Society when its 13th Foundation Day coincided with the 10th Convocation Ceremony of Balaji Institute of Modern Management. Presence of Mr. K. RAMKUMAR, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, ICICI BANK for celebration of on Foundation Day and of Mr A THIRUNAVAKKARASU, PRESIDENT- GROUP HR, VEDANTA GROUP for the Convocation Ceremony of Balaji Institute of Modern Management added much colour to the whole affair.

While addressing about thousand students from the management institutes of the society, namely - Balaji Institute of Modern Management (BIMM), Balaji Institute of Telecom and Management (BITM), Balaji Institute of International Business (BIIB) and Balaji Institute of Management & Human Resource Development (BIMHRD), Mr. Ramkumar shared that the success mantra is perseverance in the first five years of the career which sets pace for a robust career path. Hankering after money is not worthwhile for both career and life. To him ‘Career is a training and PGDM – a kinder garden of Management education’. It is when the students get placed, the real education begins. Having proved his mettle in the sports arena, he firmly believes that if one has intent, body will respond automatically.

“If people talk about your work and compassion and not your position it is a life having worth lived”, with these concluding words of Mr Ramkumar, the auditorium resonated with loud applause and cheer.

Mr A Thirunavakkarasu, who was the Chief Guest of the convocation ceremony presented the medals to the toppers and degrees to the remaining students. Later in his address to the students, he stressed on the importance of having a vision in life. Passion for work, enhancing one’s entrepreneurial skills and the willingness to learn are the three mantras of success according to him. Formation of strategies and executing them along with the right attitude would determine the growth of an individual. He believes that India is a world of opportunities and one should try to build a trust, whether it is self trust, relationship trust or societal trust. He admired the 3D’s of Sri Balaji Society, namely “Discipline, Determination and Dedication”. ‘If you want to go fast, go alone; If you want to go far, go with a team’. With these concluding words he congratulated the students.

More than three hundred students of batch 2008-10 (Winners) who are well placed with the renowned organizations came from all across India to attend the ceremony. The stage was set and the actors were ready to hold their award. Balaji Institute of Modern Management on 9th Jan 2011 celebrated its 10th Convocation ceremony for the batch 2008-10. The excitement of wearing a convocation robe to meeting each other after 6 months was evident in the air. This is one such day that every graduate looks forward to. The happiness of holding a degree is doubled if it’s in the presence of your parents.
