The students will be required to interact with the managers during various workshops/seminars/training activities. They are also required to work in the Industry for the Internship/Projects as mentioned in the foregoing paragraphs. It should be noted that the students are the 'Brand Ambassadors' of the Institute. They are the opinion makers in their companies. While the appreciation from the company will promote the Institute and thereby the cause of the students; the negative reports from them will work against the interest of the student community at large.

Besides the attendance criteria the students should not have any backlogs from the xaminations.They also should not have any dues to the management. The Directors are required to certify to the effect that the student appearing for campus placements is not having any backlog and sign the curriculum vitae only after verifying the same.

The activities of PAT include round the year efforts to arrange placements for all the batches starting from presentations to corporate to maintaining the corporate interface and conducting various placement processes on campus. The emphasis is not only in getting people placed but also organizing various corporate processes for the batch for wholesome learning.

BIMM takes pride in preparing students for the corporate world. Students are groomed with professional and personal skills which employers expect in their future leaders. Year after year an increasing number of companies visit our campus to absorb our students. This is the affirmation of the faith of the corporate world in the ability and quality of our students and faculty.

BIMM has excellent placement record for management students. MNC's and Indian companies from IT, ITES, Consultancy, FMCG, Banking and Finance, Service sector, Manufacturing, Media etc visit our campus to recruit our students.

Corporate Relations Committee is a part of Corporate Relations Department.The department is headed by Director Corporate Relations of SBS in the society and the placement officers in the respective Institutes.

We celebrate the ‘Achievement Day’ in the last week when the students complete the course to celebrate the placements and to bid farewell to the seniors. On the 'Achievement Day' of the respective institutes, the senior students receive the original appointment orders issued by the companies from the auspicious hands of the President Sri Balaji Society and in the august presence of all the dignitaries of the Society and the juniors .To symbolize the oneness and unity of the B-schools the Directors of the Society and Institutes call upon the senior students to receive the appointment orders. This emotional farewell day is organized by the juniors as the’ Achievement Day’ and is cherished by everyone.

We do not have the system of categorizing any subject as supplementary. All subjects are compulsory, in which the students are expected to qualify.

However it is not necessary that only one examination should be held. Many examinations/presentations will be organized according to the subjects and methodology proposed by the faculty with the approval of the Director (Examinations) and the Director(Academics).Students who are part of Corporate Relations Committee may be given special marks at the discretion of the ‘High Power Committee’ which will comprise of all the Directors. Incase any student fails in any subject he/she can appear for the backlog exam along with their juniors as in the case of University. A sum of Rs. 100/- will be charged as backlog fee per paper.

The grading of the students will be done based on the marks given below :

In case the books are not returned to the Library by due date, a fine is charged as per instructions of the institute. A refundable Library deposit of Rs.3000/- is required to be paid by each student at the time of admission.

The hostel, as of now, has the capacity to accommodate 350 female students and 350 male students. The rent for hostel accommodation, which is fully furnished, will be Rs. 3,000/- (Rupees Three thousand only) per month.

The hostel is a landmark in Pune and located in Tathawade on the Mumbai - Bangalore bypass.It is inside the campus. It provides all the facilities including a mess, a gymnasium, a coffee shop and a shopping centre .

Until one more hostel is constructed, for which action is in hand, the hostel accommodation is provided for the first year students only, for the duration of June to April . At present about 1000 senior students (both boys and girls) are day scholars. This in one way trains the students to live in different environments which in any case they have to do when they join the corporate world.The present inmates of the hostel will be vacating the hostel by 30th April 2009 i.e. before they go for their summer projects.

Mess facilities will also be provided at a cost of approximately Rs.4,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand) per
month. The exact mess fee and menu thereof will be negotiated by the student body once they reach our location and once they are selected by the students. It is not compulsory as restaurants are also there adjacent to the campus. So it is left to the discretion of the students. The cost of mess facilities can also be covered from the bank loan, although it is not required to be remitted to us.

Health is a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and to maintain the same BIMM provides various facilities :

Yoga : It is a way of life and art of righteous living or an integrated system for overall development, hence it becomes essential for a future manager to have a sound body, mind and inner spirit.

Gymnasium : As rightly said, 'The resistance that you fight physically in the Gym and the resistance that you fight in life can only build a strong character'.

The Institute will furnish a Performance Report on each student to all the parents periodically. A monthly attendance report on each student will also be forwarded by the Director. We insist on regular attendance of students in classes, workshops, seminars and other co-curricular activities. Get-together's and cultural programmes organized by the Student's Council/Institute, should also be attended by the students as part of their team spirit, oneness and as a course of personality development.

The students are unlikely to have holidays during the first six months as this will be a conversion period. Classes will also be held on Sundays. There will be no vacation period during or after any semester. We will utilize all the days of the year to sharpen and hone the competitive skills of the students so that money spent by the parents leads to building a productive career of their children.

There is no end of learning and the scope of improvement is thus present in each and every system. To achieve towards perfection, we at BIMM invite all new, innovative and creative comments, ideas, thoughts, suggestions and feedback.

Gathering student comments through a suggestion box can also be fruitful to understand the problems and perspectives and to take remedial measures by the ‘High Power Committee’.The suggestion box will be kept in each institute and also in the hostel and the same will be opened once in a week by the Registrar of the society and all the inputs will be presented to the President/Joint Director regularly. Besides this ,all the students of all the institutes are at liberty to meet any Director or the President ,Sri Balaji Society to air any of their grievances at any point of time.All the requests/complaints/suggestions will be given a positive look and examined for a positive solution where required.

Attending classes and learning in the class through the learned faculties is a critical step towards growth and development of students, as the skills required by the Industry are taught and to be learned in a systematic and progressive manner in the class rooms. Consistency in attendance is, therefore, a pre-requisite. Absence from class leads to discontinuity in learning and defeats the very approach of progressive learning, as the subjects are inter-connected ,missing one session may lead to confusion when the next session is being conducted.

Consequently, it is not only difficult but may also put those students under tremendous pressure and in a helpless situation leading to stress, frustration and depression. This is particularly so because while a student studies about six subject per year in their graduation course they have to study more than ten subjects for semester in our Institute. We have come across quite a few cases of such students becoming psychiatric cases because of the pressure on them. Therefore, attending classes regularly is a requirement of any student who joins a good management institution. Similarly, studying at home/hostel everyday regularly will lead to expected growth and development of students.

We plan to hold our training / classes for 365 days in an year. We do not believe in the concept of the holidays. Each and every class is critical for learning in a continuous manner. Therefore, no request on the account of medical grounds for exemption from attendance will be accepted. Parents are advised to please understand the medical problems of the children who have a medical history and not to encourage them to take up our stressful management programmes which are very hectic in nature and are held for prolonged hours throughout the year because such students undergo lot of peer pressure and tension leading to possible depression. They are also unable to focus on studies and are in a fix of not being in a position to express their difficulties either to the parents or to the management, as the requirement of the learning process is stringent in nature and cannot be changed.

A minimum of 80% attendance is compulsory. Those who maintain 95% of attendance will be awarded an attendance incentive of 5 marks per subject. Those who fail to give 80% of attendance will be placed in 'Red List' and may not be allowed to appear in the examination.

We may mention it here that one should not get disturbed in the minds and should understand that attendance criteria provides sufficient cushion as the permissible limit of absence is 20% in a year and if one calculates the total days on which one can legitimately be absent from the classes on account of sickness or other important contingencies will be more than 20 days in a year provided the student attend all the classes regularly from the beginning and save the attendance without wasting the same when they are absolutely in normal conditions . To be away from the class for casual reasons or carelessness and then to remain absent on account of medical grounds or other contingencies cannot therefore be justified. Because in a professional course, training will have to be undergone. It is not a matter of writing examination, it is also more of conditioning the mind, body and systems.

No one, including the Director is empowered to grant attendance on medical ground or on any other ground, as one who is not physically present or involved in academic activity can't be marked 'present' in the class as it will be illegal. Only those who are present in the class or involved in academic activity under the direction of the Dean/ Director will get attendance. However, any one having any medical problem should promptly avail medical assistance and those who have urgent family commitments can also visit their family. We, as an institute cannot restrict the movement of the students. There is no system of leave with attendance. Grant of leave means permission to remain away from the campus on personal reasons which cannot entitle grant of attendance.

Students are trained for bright future corporate careers through various scientific grooming processes which also involves healthy lifestyles. The word 'Discipline' for us implies adherence to civilized life ,following the code of conduct. Therefore, strict discipline will be an essential part of the training process and the defaulters will be dealt with appropriately.

We have fan-shaped class rooms and a ceiling mounted LCD's. Each classroom has a capacity to accommodate more than 60 students. In addition BIMM has a well equipied seminar/ conference hall for various programmes and interactions organized in the campus.

Computer lab is well-equipped with branded PC's adequately supported by 8 Mbps leased lines for internet connectivity. It is also equipped with a wide range of licensed system software and applications software. The entire campus is connected with Wi-Fi network. Computer labs with workstations connected to the internet are available for the use of the students. Instructors are also regularly available to assist students in planning and implementing their projects.

Class discipline will be maintained strictly. Each class will have two students who will be selected as class representatives and another two who will be a part of the Institute's Discipline Committee. They will report to the Professor-in-Charge on a day-to-day basis and whenever necessary directly to the Director. Students who have any problem or grievance can also directly approach the Professor-in-Charge/Director/Students Council/Grievances Committee. All the issues related to academics in the institute may be referred to the Director, Director (Academics) or Dean and issues related to examinations will be referred to the Director (Examination). Students can meet the Director / Directors of Society and the President of Sri Balaji Society on any issue with prior appointment.

The seemingly boundless energy of the students is not just channelized into the demanding activities of the academic curriculum; they find the time and energy to participate in the varied activities depending on their interests.

Debates, seminars, Book reviews and quizzes go on round the year, honing the communication skills and enhancing the knowledge of future managers. Work shops are organized which facilitate the growth of the students to take on the challenges of the corporate world.

BIMM also plays host to various cultural Endeavor like "Induction ceremony", "Fresher Party" , "DRISTHI" an inter institute competition of "Sri Balaji Society" and many more. These festivals bring out talents and a broad spectrum of divergent experience attributes and outlook providing an excellent opportunity of learning through interface.

Students staying at hired accommodation will be subject to disciplinary rules and regulations of the Institute for all purposes. They may be periodically inspected by nominated staff members and Director. The Institute, however, cannot take responsibility for their personal behavior or misconduct at any time outside its premises. Students are expected to devote their time to build a corporate career by maintaining self-discipline.

15% of the seats are allotted to candidates who qualify the eligibility criteria at the discretion of the President, Sri Balaji Society with twice the prescribed fee. Allotment of these seats will be made only after declaration of the results for admission from all the selection centres. Those seeking management quota seats should mention the same in the application form and only the candidate or the parents are permitted to communicate with the management . Third party interference will disqualify the candidate.

We have not appointed any agent and we will not accept the recommendations of any one. Therefore, paying money to any agent who may claim and act as if they are very close to the management or any one closer to the management will be doing so at their risk. Such dangerous people do exist, and in fact they even take advances giving invalid guaranty for admission .Such people simply gamble. incase the student is selected on his/her merit they will say that they got the admission. Incase the candidate is not selected they may or may not return the money .In most of the cases they vanished. We have reports from the past that many were cheated. Therefore, we caution everyone not to depend on such characters, notwithstanding their positions, status or affiliations to anyone as many cases of cheating have been reported in the past.

Students should submit the certified mark sheets of the qualifying degree examinations latest by 1st October 2008 failing which the admission may be cancelled automatically. In case any University has not declared the result until then the Principal of the College where the student has studied should personally write to the Director of the Institute explaining the correct situation and the Director will take appropriate action. In case the student fails in the qualifying degree examination, the admission will be cancelled. No fee refund will be permissible in such cases.

The mark sheets of 10 th standard, 12 th standard and graduation in original will be verified repeatedly by the authorities of Sri Balaji Society and will be compared with the marks reflected by the students in the application form for admission to us. In case, any discrepancy is discovered, at any stage, the admission of the student will be cancelled. No fee refund will be permissible in such cases.

Students should compulsorily wear the institute uniform for all the functions/ guest lectures/ workshops/ seminars. The uniform is as under:

The cost of the uniform for male students is 3000/- and female students is Rs.1600/- which should be remitted at the time of admission.

At the time of admission student have to submit a sum of Rs. 10,000/- which can be spend by the Institute for emergency situation like hospitalization of student. This amount is refundable at the completion of the course.

(a)	If admission is cancelled before the commencement of the academic programme, Rs.1000/- from the fees paid by the student will be deducted and the balance refunded.
(b)	If admission is cancelled after joining the course and if the seat consequently falling vacant has been filled by another candidate by last date of admission that is, one month from the date of commencement of the course, Rs.16,000/- from the fees paid by the student will be deducted and the balance refunded.
(c)	No refund is permissible after 30 days from the commencement of the course.

Students are advised to purchase a laptop in their own interest to facilitate research activities. The Institute will negotiate with a company for a least price for the best laptop from the best company. (The approximate cost for the same is Rs. 45,000/- Rupees Forty five thousand). However, it is not compulsory. Yet, those who apply for bank loan from Andhra Bank may get the loan approved along with the fee. The entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled, including hostel. A sum of Rs. 2000/- (Two thousand only) per annum will be charged from those who avail this facility.

BIMM, BITM, BIIB & BIMHRD have been approved for educational loans by the students who get admission to these institutes as these institutions enjoy good reputation and as the students of these institutions are expected to get 'placed' so that they can repay the loan. All those students who get admitted to any of these institutions can approach any bank for educational loan at their respective localities, if at all required.

Students may be required to proceed to outstations, in groups for industrial visits at their own cost for a duration of one week during Aug / Sep 2009. They are also required to go for two months company project studies. They will also be required to move around the industrial belts in Pune and its neighboring cities. The Institute can not take any responsibility for the safety and security of the students. They should take care of themselves, as the Institute cannot interfere in the privacy of students. Parents are therefore, required to exercise adequate control on their wards. However, the Institute will impose all the rules as mentioned in the prospectus and as may be considered necessary in the interest of discipline and growth of students. The students are required to submit an undertaking duly counter signed by the parents and two other witnesses.
